Top 13 Anime Skins in CS2

It has been many years since the last set of skins released with a focus on anime, but that has now changed with the release of the Prisma 2 case. This is the top 13 anime skins now in the game Counter-Strike 2.

The Rising Sun collection was one of the first to showcase a weapon skin with an anime character, those of which are extremely popular among many gamers.

Anime skins are usually tied with Japanese themed skins as well as the word “anime” is defined as a Japanese cartoon or show. This list will not include things that are only loosely based around Japanese culture but anime itself. So look forward to only seeing the best of the best anime skins on this list below.

1. AUG | Akihabara Accept

From the release of the Rising Sun collection, the Akihabara Accept was the only skin to feature an anime female character on it for a long time. It shows a female army soldier plastered onto a Japanese magazine cover. There are a few game references placed in used commonly in CS2 including:

2. M4A1-S | Player Two

With the bullet count update to the M4A1-S it has become extremely popular.

Right away you will notice a male human drawn firing a weapon which is not seen in Counter-Strike. He has his dog below him with a unique expression compared to the rest of the art style. Smoke covers the feet and body of both the human and dog as the human says a curse word which has been censored.

Other words you will see plastered along the gun are:

• I♥SKINS – A reference referring to someone loving their CS2 skins. When read aloud it says “I love skins”.
• VANGUARD
• SILENCE – This text in white on the barrel is not clearly written, in fact a lot people think it says “SHENCE” due to the font.
• CS2 – Most people do not realize right away the text “CS2” plastered directly in the middle of the weapon with the color half grey and half cyan.
• GG – On the humans arm is a patch that says “GG” which is an acronym for “Good Game”, said by players after a game ends.

The skin reminds me of the cartoon Astro Boy mixed with Mega Man but in a Counter-Terrorists uniform.

The skin also features cartoon human skulls in the background. Because of this the skin in China may be altered, as skulls are banned in video games in this region.

3. Glock-18 | Bullet Queen

New with the release of the Prisma 2 Case, a new female character is now plastered on the grip of a Glock-18. It features yellows stars on a black base in the background, with the female having one finger over her mouth as to tell someone to be quiet.

The Flavor Text that comes with it relates directly with the skins image.

4. USP-S | Neo-Noir

The USP-S | Neo-Noir showcases a female laying on the ground with her hair going down the handle. The skin has the word “USP NEO” written in neon blue above the woman and a background of white with light blue thin diagonal lines.

There are two different weapons with a similar skin and the same name:

• AWP | Neo-Noir
• M4A4 | Neo-Noir

These two skins are much more common than the USP-S and hence can also be found cheaper.

The wear on the USP-S | Neo-Noir mostly effects the silencer attached to the weapon and the handle. The god news is since the handle is dark you do not notice the wear on it.

5. Sawed-Off | Apocalypto

The Apocalypto shotgun shows a zombie hand about to grab a planet with a fuse coming out of it with it’s bare hands. The background is a purple solar system showcasing stars and rockets flying to the barrel.

The zombie hand has an analog watch on the inside of their arm that players are able to see. The time on the watch is 1:26 however the hour stick is drawn in the correct position.

At the end of the arm blood is coming out onto the stock. This may also be changed in the future for players from the China region. This skin in perfect for those loves of Highschool of the Dead.

6. AK-47 | The Empress

The Empress is one of the most popular AK-47 skins in the game and has always received glowing reviews. It has a custom painted skin of the empress tarot card.

The standout feature is the female empress in the middle of the weapon with a golden crown on her head and long blond hair. It very much resembles a queen and her kingdom with crowns plastered in different places along the skin. The background is a dark cyan with red and gold.

It is one of the most detailed skins in CS2 at this point of time.

7. M4A4 | 龍王 (Dragon King)

The M4A4 | Dragon King is the English name of 龍王. A weapon that features both the Chinese and English name on the weapon skin. Although a Chinese skin it features a dragon similar to those in Dragon Ball Z and other anime series.

The background features blobs of light blue, dark blue and white under the dragon. Lastly, there is a red line at the very end going straight down and the end of the stock.

The Dragon King was release in the Croma Case in early January 2015 but has not seen much in play in the competitive seen.

8. Galil AR | Kami

Imagine shooting people with a comic, well now you can with the Kami skin on the Galil AR. The Kami has is a grey scale weapon which means it only shows the shade of black, grey and white. This skin came from the Huntsman Case in May 2014.

The comic which is inspired by CS2 is plastered over the skin and is in Japanese, a bomb similar to that seen in CS2 is also seen in the comic twice.

There is also a Five-SeveN version of the Kami with the comic plastered over the top half of the weapon.

9. AK-47 | Bloodsport

The Bloodsport is a popular weapon resembling what someone would expect a weapon skin to look like if it was sponsored by different companies (similar to that of race cars or sports teams). It has a color scheme of white, red, dark blue and a tiny bit of yellow on the bottom of the barrel.

All of the writing on the Bloodsport is white and most of it is the statistics of the AK-47. You will see the following text written in English:

10. AWP | Oni Taiji

From the Rising Sun Collection, the Oni Taiji is a unique AWP that looks like it is made as a glass mosaic. It showcases a male figure who is a samurai, wielding his samurai sword in his right hand in an attack position.

It features the colors of red over the stock as flames head towards the samurai. As well as a purple background behind the images.

11. MAC-10 | Disco

The Mac-10 | Disco Tech was just released and is the perfect gun if you want a bight and colorful weapon by your side. Perfect if you love the colorful side seen in many high school romance anime shows such as Kare Kano or Magick Girls.

As you run around any map you will see the disco dance as it shines as light bounces on the skin, creating a different color depending on the lights location.

The colors that are shown on the Mac 10 | Disco Tech are Blue, Purple, Pink, Yellow and Green.

12. Galil AR | Crimson Tsunami

You may have been luck enough to see a similar image to this one hanging up at restaurants or peoples houses, the Galil AR | Crimson Tsunami looks to be inspired dramatically by the artwork “The Great Wave” by Katsushika Hokusai.

The skin has waves going across it with a dark grim red sky. Each wave is rolling over which can be shown by the curling white tips of each wave.

It is a very cheap weapon considering it was released with the Spectrum Case and has a lot of detail put into it. Fans who live shows with Pirates such as One Piece will love this.

13. Desert Eagle | Kumicho Dragon

Lastly, the Desert Eagle showcases a Dragon on it. Almost any fantasy anime has dragons in it at some stage and the one on the Kumicho Dragon is one you would see on scrolls or banners.

The handle is purple while the top is a light blue and silver mixed together. Over the top of the barrel it has a chalk outline of a dragon poking it’s tongue out.

How to get Anime Skins in CS2

Besides buying anime skins on directly off the marketplaces, the best case to open is the new Prisma 2 case. The Prisma 2 case has weapons that are both anime and inspired by anime, as said in the cases release by developers at Valve themselves.

Ultimately, you can turn any skin into an anime skin by placing some anime character stickers on it. There are two stickers, the Kawaii Killer CT and Kawaii Killer Terrorist (Skinport link) that can be added to any skins.
